Phillip Phillips Summer Tour Wrap Up

Phillip Phillips first summer tour in two years ended last Saturday on a wonderful high note at the Wisconsin State Fair, in Milwaukee, WI. The co-headlining tour brought together Phillip Phillips and Matt Nathanson fans, as well as introduced many to the great sounds of Eric Hutchinson and A Great Big World, the two alternating openers throughout the tour.

It was a tour full of surprises, warm collaborations, and best of all, a lot of new songs! And though it feels like it was over very soon, the memories and the music remain. Check out some of our favourite videos captured during the tour!

A classic Phillip Phillips song and a new cover of Jimi Hendrix’s “Foxy Lady”– Pure fire.

Phillip debuted new song “Magnetic” early on in the tour. A beautiful, sensual song, it had reached a new peak of intensity by the end of the tour.

Phillip and Nate Mercereau had an early shredding session in Nashville, TN.

There may be no steady videos of this song, it’s just too funky. Phillip debuted “Don’t Tell Me” in Columbus, OH.

“Into the Wild” was quietly introduced during Phillip’s show at the Ravinia Festival in Illinois.

During his stop in Portland, OR, Phillip gave fans this rare treat: an acoustic version of Thicket, which was as spellbinding as the studio and full band versions.

Matt Nathanson invited Phillip, as well as A Great Big World and Eric Hutchinson to join him during his cover of Prince’s “Raspberry Beret” at several shows.

A true surprise, “Miles” was the fourth song debuted by Phillip during the tour.

The most beautiful and tender of songs, Phillip played “Dance with Me” many times during the tour.
