Phillip Philips’ album sales rise

While most albums remained in a post-holiday sales free-fall, Phillip Phillips actually saw his sales rise last week. Thanks in large part to an itTunes discount,The World From the Side of the Moon sold 63,000 copies last week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. That’s enough to boost Phillips’ debut to the No. 4 spot on The Billboard 200, matching his debut-week chart position.
