Phillip has started a busy month of interviews and promotion in preparation for the release of Behind The Light. Yesterday, Phillip talked to Fox 5 San Diego and revealed more details about the album and his songwriting process. Phillip corroborated the new maturity of the album and said it will be “lyrically much more in-depth [and] musically more technical” and despite it being more on the rock side, he said it will also have some funk and soul, “a little bit of everything.” He also talked about some of the songs in the album, such as “Searchlight” which he described as an “eerie, cool song” about when you have “lost something that you can’t really find.”
Phillip also talked to Fox 2 News St. Louis about the album and his upcoming summer tour with O.A.R. which will kick off June 12th in St. Louis.
