Just before midnight on January 19, Phillip Phillips’ new album Collateral was finally released. The celebration from fans across social media has been non-stop, and as of this writing the album is sitting at #12 on the iTunes overall album charts. Phillip shared a beautiful message with fans just before the album dropped reflecting on the struggles and triumphs of the last few years:
“Gonna rest peacefully tonight. I did what was right. Good things happen if you work hard at what you believe in. There are going to be struggles. Fight. Get up & live YOUR life. Listen to it. Feel it. Go with your gut. Thank you for the support & staying with me. Now let’s go!”
And again this morning, Phillip shared a very special video talking about what the release of this album means to him.

Phillip wasted no time to get things going promoting the album, performing “Dance With Me” and “Into The Wild” from Collateral on Fox News early Friday. Errol Cooney, guitar player extraordinaire and a constant musical companion to Phillips in the early years, made a surprise appearance alongside Phillip. Take a look at Phillip and Errol performing “Into The Wild” below!

Phillip Phillips, who has been enjoying a well-deserved break after a long summer tour, made an appearance at the CMT Artist of the Year Awards in Nashville last night. Though Phillip’s performance was announced at the last minute (the morning of the show) his performance was nothing close to rushed or improvised.
Phillip performed Sam Hunt’s “Body Like a Back Road,” a huge country hit that has broken several records since it was released in February this year. The song sounded amazing with Phillip’s voice adding some soulfulness to the sexy lyrics and a great band that included keys, guitar, horns and backing vocals. The performance earned Phillips rave reviews, not only from his fans, but from country music fans who may not have known Phillip’s music until last night.
Phillip has been spending a lot of time in Nashville in the last several months. His long awaited third album, due to come out (we hope) early next year, was partially written in Nashville, where he has collaborated with some great musicians and songwriters on a number of new songs.
Phillip attended the show with his wife Hannah, and the two posed together at the red carpet before the show. Take a look a Phillip’s performance as well as some photos from the event, below!
Phillip Phillips was invited to sing the national anthem for the opening game of the Atlanta Braves 2017 season. The game was the first regular-season opener the Braves played at the newly built SunTrust Park, in Atlanta, GA.
As always, Phillip’s performance of the anthem was touching and beautifully understated. Check out the full video of Phillip singing the national anthem and an earlier acoustic performance by Phillip below!
